Another stolen survey because I don't feel like writing a real entry:

1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?uhhh...had a relationship anniversary hehe...did stuff with the marching band (being an extra, making copies of marching music over the summer haha)...that's all I can think of at the moment but I'm sure there's more
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I actually just looked up an old entry to see what I specifically said...I definitly didn't keep one of them, which was kind of a joke between me and Corey anyway, to be more decisive. The other was to continue my "new start" compared to freshman year and be less pessimistic...ehh...I did decently on that
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? No.
4. Did anyone close to you die? My grandad did...I'm honestly not sure about another person :-/
5.What countries did you visit? USA hehe
6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004? umm...well I never think I have enough time with my friends, especially Corey
7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? April 13 still sticks...because of what happened on April 12. Quite a few good memories with Corey will stick too of course
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? uhh I guess I'll steal Anna's answer and say grades...though I have to say I was proud of myself for learning to use that saw well on ASP
9. What was your biggest failure? hmm...not staying in touch with some old friends as well as I should
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? nothing major
11. What was the best thing you bought? wow I'm actually having a really hard time with this one...I can't think of anything...uhh I got lire (I cannot remember how to spell it...pronounced like "liar" but I don't think it's spelled that way. I'm tired lol) that let me play in the stands with people...like...once? it was fun though
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? All the Kidney members hehe
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? I can't really think of one so I'll steal Anna's answer and say Bush.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? uhh...a lot of things with Corey...my birthday...ASP...and such
16. What song will always remind you of 2004?Songs remind me of everything lol...most of them are timeless...the only one I can specifically relate to something this year that I likely won't relate to other years is Candle in the Wind
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
Happier or sadder: much happier than most of 03, about the same as the end
Older or wiser: well obviously I'm older...I'd like to hope I'm wiser too...but that could be foolish hehe...so maybe I'm wise because I'm not sure if I am or not :-P
Thinner or fatter: about the same
Richer or poorer: same
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? spent time with friends
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? worrying
20. How will you be spending Christmas? already done...I sat at home most of the day and watched TV...but early that morning for 13 min I was with Corey at/on the way back from church
21. How will you be spending New Years Eve? party! and seeing my Corazy for the first time in what feels like forever even though it's been less than a week lol *pathetic*
22. Did you fall in love in 2004? fell before that...continued in 04 though^^
24. What was your favorite TV program? Everwood
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? I try not to hate anyone...I don't remember meeting anyone new this year that was especially annoying either
26. What was the best book you read? hmm...well I'll say the Harry Potter series even though I wasn't reading it for the first time
27. What was your greatest musical discovery? ...immediately the band version of Pirates of the Carribean starts playing in my head...which is weird because I didn't have to do the marching band version or anything lol, just one in concert...I really don't know though...I still like pretty much all the same kinds of music
28. What did you want and get? good grades, awesome friends (err kept them)
29. What did you want and not get? not really anything
30. What was your favorite film(s) of this year? hmm...what came out this year lol? Oh Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban did! So I'll stick with that
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? turned 17...had a fun party at my house with my friends
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Kerry winning *stolen from Anna* haha
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004? lol uhh jeans and casual shirts
34. What kept you sane? friends
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? uhh none?
36. What political issue stirred you the most? The attempt to ban gay marriages through a constitutional amendment REALLY bugged me
37. Who did (do) you miss? My dillard friends
38. Who were the best new person/people you met? hmm lol who did I meet this year? I guess I didn't really know Austin before but I knew who he was...didn't know Chris as well either
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004: sometimes you can't try to make everyone feel better...and sometimes it's better to let them feel better on their own...just remember to be there for support.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
"I will be here when you feel like being quiet
When you need to speak your mind I will listen
And I will be here when the laughter turns to cryin'
Through the winning, loosing, and tryin'
We'll be together
'Cause I will be here
Tomorrow morning if you wake up and the future is unclear
I will be here
As sure as seasons are made for change, our life times are made for these years
I will be here
...
I will be true to the promise I have made
to you and to the one who gave you to me"
not exactly a sum of the year but it's the closest thing I could get and it's like #39 so yeah

The end!

I think I have a thing about updating on holidays lol.

We finished exams on Tuesday, yay! Then Corey came over for a while after school, much fun ;-) <333 even though he did have to leave at 5 to work on his own evil plan :P hehe.

Wednesday, I went over to Corey's house for a while to help out before the Christmas party. I helped clean, which Corey protested lol but I didn't mind, and we went to the bookstore and made food and such...mmm chocolate peanut butter cookie things...Anna came after a while and helped with food stuff too^^ And Corey gave me my Christmas present-the Benny and Joon DVD, a Beatles poster, and an absolutely adorable really soft stuffed animal fish. It's like one of those pillows that feel like they have tiny grains of sand inside of them. Oh and I got a fun magic scarf from Hannah, which has been amusing me greatly. Then other people showed up...we mostly hung around and talked and such...Dillon came late, and he was a surprise...I think only Dave, Anna, Hannah, Corey, and I knew he was coming so everyone else was like "DILLY!" and attacked him...well...actually so did I hahaha but yeah. That was great. I hadn't seen Dilly in aaaaages. He brought an awesome dance video that a visual arts student at his school made of Dilly and another guy dancing with birds made of concrete...they were almost in puppet form I guess you could say, meaning there were ropes attached to the birds' wings so that the guys could move them...it was really cool. I cannot imagine moving that gracefully while moving large block of concrete. Later we played Dirty Santa...much fun...I had to beg someone to steal the chocolates from me lol because my house is full of them right now! Of course, many of us ended up trading stuff after the game ended, so I got the Grease DVD, very cool. I think the best part of the night happened near the end though...A bunch of us were sitting out on the porch because we were hot...and we had the lights off...so Corey's mom came to turn them on. Zach didn't notice her coming out or anything so he was just suddenly blinded by the light...and he assumed it was one of us...so he yelled something like "If you don't turn that off, I will hurt you severely!" hahaha and we all about died laughing...when we told him it was Corey's mom he appologized and everything but it was still hillarious. Entirely too soon afterwards, it was time to leave...and then I became the not-so-happy Jen because I didn't think I'd get to see Corey until at least New Year's Eve...and so I attached myself to Corey...but eventually Anna got me to leave...which was good because she was taking me home lol.

Gotta love how I don't remember what I did Thursday lol. I know some people went to the movies that night, but Anna and I had uhh technology/shower problems hahaha...long story, but point being I didn't go. I watched The Spanish Prisoner though...hehehe...I finally convinced my parents to rent it and I had to rewatch it because I wanted to see some things Mr. Koechling told our creative writing class. It was amazing to see how much obvious stuff I missed the first time lol.

Friday (yesterday...Christmas Eve), I got up and went to Walmart with Steven because he needed some last minute present help hehe...finished it at my house...Then we went to Rachel's and invaded her house for a while lol, then on to Matt's house. His pastor just died :-\ so...those of you that believe in prayer, send one out for their church, k? Then I went out to dinner with my family...that's our Christmas Eve tradition. Then I hung around at home for a while...and then Corey got online! I thought he wouldn't be back until really really late but he was home and that made me happy even though I knew he'd leave for his Dad's house today. So I didn't expect to see him or anything, but just talking to him online made me smile...And then...hehe...he said that they were going to the Christmas Eve service at church...and I wanted to go lol so I hinted like crazy and eventually even dragged Anna into it because he was being oblivious and then I got to go :-D The service started at 11 PM. I'd never been to a Christmas Eve service so I wasn't quite sure what to expect...other than the Christmas story being read from the Bible...in addition to that, we sang a TON of hymns...had communion...my first one in church (others were at ASP and Pilgrimage) and when we got up I was on the end so I was waiting to see if the other end would start moving because it made more sense if we walked that way...but Corey kinda prodded me forward...and so I figured he was right and that I was thinking weird lol...but then uhh everyone else went the other way haha so we looked silly but oh well. A candle was lit and then spread to each candle in the room (we each had one) while we sang Silent Night...so that was cool...By the time the service was over, it was Christmas. I decided it would be really cool if we walked outside and discovered it had snowed a bunch...I mean...wouldn't it be awesome to be stuck at a church on Christmas? I think it would be...but I got weird looks for it so oh well. Even though it didn't snow there, at home, or in Lumberton, I got one of my wishes...Every time Corey asked me what I wanted for Christmas this year, I said "you" and I got it...13 min with Corey on Christmas Best present ever ever ever ever ever. And every time I looked at the clock that night, it either contained a 42 or the numbers added up to 13.

Today (obviously) is Christmas! I slept in...yet I'm still sleepy lol that's what I get for sitting around all day I guess...anyway. I got a palm pilot thing that plays music too and can connect to my computer, some huge (size 15) bamboo knitting needles that I'm already having much fun with, a knitting book, a really comfy chair thingie (one of those that doesn't have legs that looks like it should fall voer but doesn't...its soooft hehehe...someone remind me next gathering to bring up upstairs), and a piece of paper that that says something like "good for one dinner for two." So basically Corey and I get to pick a resturant and go have dinner hehe, much fun. However, by far, seeing him was the best part of my Christmas.

And I'm already wishing for New Year's Eve again lol. I love you Corazy <333 Merry Christmas everyone!

Monday, December 20, 2004

Wow it's been aaaaaages since I've updated! There's no way I'll be able to catch up on everything I've done since Thanksgiving so I'll just give a few highlights...

I had an awesome birthday weekend...finally got to see what Corey was up to lol :-P He was sweet though...even got Melissa to distract me at school so he could sneak some chocolate into my lunch box hehe. The party was much fun...got cool stuff...between all the chocolate from that and Christmas stuff and the junk we buy because my brother's home for the holidays, I'm going to be nice and happy and hyper hahaha. Got a cool book too-it's the story of what happened before Peter Pan as the fairy tale tells. I haven't had time to read much of it, but it seems good, and it's by Dave Bary, and that rules. Also got some pretty flowers and a necklace from Corazy hehe, and other cool stuff from other people. On my actual birthday, Corey came over for a while and then came out to dinner with my family...mmm Japanese food...and it made me happy just to watch him lol...pyros are fun to watch watching fire. I also discovered that when he really likes the taste of something, he looks like hes about to pass out :P lol ex: sushi :-D yay!

Hmm what else...I can talk about my evil plan now! I got Corey a mini fiber optic Christmas tree and made and bought ornaments for it that remind me of him or the two of us...and I set it up in his room this weekend while he was camping so that it surprised him when he came home^^ hehehe.

Umm...lol the only other thing I can think of is that I studied a lot. But I got a 93 on my history exam, which makes me very happy, because I was really stressed out about needing a good grade on the exam. English was long and hectic but I was the 2nd person to in my class to turn it in with like 30 min to go...and I feel a lot more comfortable about this exam than the midterm and I did well on that so yay!

Oh! And I discovered that I can crochet gloves and mittens! :-D

This feels insanely short for a month's update...oh well.

Tomorrow is the last day of exams...not sure exactly what I'm doing afterwards...trying to do something with Corey since Tuesday and Wednesday are the last times I'll see him for the rest of the year o_O since he'll be with relatives for the rest of it...So I'm going to enjoy the time I get with him here^^ My friend, Robert, who I haven't seen since middle school (he moved to Texas) is coming up on New Year's Eve, which makes me happy :-)

Aaaaaaand I think that's it.
