I swear this will actually be a quick update because I'm tired.

Today (err yesterday) I did homework...got done with everything except one essay for English, so I'll do that when I get up...anyway...Then Corey, Melissa, Austin and I went out for Japanese food, which was yummy, even though Austin didn't like the sushi lol-but he tried it so it's all good. Apparently Japanese food makes Corey really hyper...on the way to school he was wild hahaha...banging the steering wheel and such...I told him I'd laugh it he hit the horn...and he's like "thaaaaanks, I'm glad you trust my energy-releasing abilities" lol so that's becoming an amusing joke now...At school, we hung out for a while, did the singing run through (except I got to be a yard line hahaha because they were really messed up on the field so all the extras were makers...and a bunch of people "ahem"ed at me as they went by at the start of pictures because they thought I forgot or something I guess...but Mr. Rowe told me not to do my part so that they could see the yard line! I'm not stupid enough to be entirely oblivious to where my part comes in lol) and left for Cary High...we waited around there forever before we got to go on, since we didn't have to change and they were running behind...but that was ok. We went out onto the field...Anna yelled to me and I saw her and her mom :-D Usually the pit and extras are out there a good while before the band, but tonight we weren't, I guess because they were trying to make up for being behind schedule...so anyway...I put my camera down and went to put my red coat by the cannon...which was on the wrong yard line and right up next to the field (it's supposed to be well back or else the chemicals get all over marching people). I was going to move it, but the band was already in position and so I took off to get to my spot and had just reached it when Megan yelled "Band ten-hut!" so yeah. I wasn't smart and didn't bother to test the camera ahead of time like I usually do because the prop guy told me he replaced the batteries...so I just assumed it'd be ok...well, we got out onto the field and I tried to turn on the flash...and the "ready" light didn't blink. So I pushed the button the other way just in case I'd gone crazy and switched the direction...still no light. So I'm guessing something was wrong with the batteries. The show in general looked sooooo good. Color guard was the best I've seen it all year, and of course the marching band looked and sounded totally awesome. There were a few field judges, and it made my day to see Hannah, beaming even though she didn't notice the judge, nearly smack the judge with her flag. He jumped out of the way so fast...it was hillarious. And fyi for the non-mb people, yes you are allowed to hit a judge, because it's their fault if they're in the way...so basically it's a dream come true for someone to actually get to hit a judge. No flash from the camera during pictures, but only people from Apex really knew about it anyway so it doesn't matter much. Then I did my British thing...changed costume, noticed the fire extinguisher wasn't upright, didn't have time to move it backwards because I was busy lifting the extinguisher into position...but it didn't matter because no one is in front of it on my first fire. I moved it after that. It sounded really weird because Mr. Rowe had me change the counts I fire on so that it's not the same as the ship...and the timing's ackward...oh well. After the show, I helped load stuff...so I ended up going off with pit...so we ran all the way around the track, stopped for a while, and then I noticed the band was gone...So I was like "hey guys? Did they go do pictures?" and we were all like "crap..." and started running hahaha and got there when they were about 3/4 of the way done setting people up for the picture. So we made it! Lol. Then went back down to the field...OH MY GOSH I SAW A GIRL I HAVEN'T SEEN SINCE 8TH GRADE AND I THINK SHE REMEMBERED ME hahaha she goes Cary and she was my yearbook buddy in middle school, but she was a year older than me, so I only saw her for like 5 minutes after a concert my 8th grade year so you might as well say I hadn't seen her since 7th grade. So it made me happy to know she knew who I was haha. I saw Allen from my creative writing class last year and shouted to him and he looked up and waved but had the expression "who the heck is that?" on his face hahaha...Then we watched the last band (not a competing band, an exhibition but it wasn't Cary...it was a college but I can't remember which one) which was cool...Then awards. Well...see there was a band there with like 300 people, and they've traveled around the country doing competitions. And there were a few other really really good bands too. So we didn't win much. Megan got best drum major, of course, and we got a pit award...which was really weird...because I don't think it was about the playing...when they described it, it was talking about loading/unloading efficiency o_O weird. We got a superior rating, but I don't know what our exact score was or any of the other band's scores. That was it though. However...it looked awesome, easily the best show this season. I was impressed with everyone in our band, color guard, extras, pit, and obviously drum major, though we've all gotten used to thinking of her as the best anyway. So...there were definitly a lot of dissappointed Apexians. It just made me hate the competitiveness of marching band even more...It's horrible to know that the show was soooo good and yet there were quite a few people in tears or close to them. I felt like crying just from the look on peoples faces...so I went into "I'm going to cheer people up because they were awesome!" mode and tried doing that...I gave hugs, told everyone how great they looked, which was absolutely true, as they saw from the video later, and I told stories about judges running away when they were about to get hit/trampled and got a few smiles and laughs...oh and pointed out to one of the guard that when she started singing Pirates, a whole bunch of people fell in step to her marching...but it still wasn't enough. More crying on the bus...yuck. Half the people looked upset, tired, sick, or combinations of those. So I kinda gave up except for hugging Corey...though I did talk to some guard people once we got back and they seemed decently happy when I told them I'd never seen them as good as they were tonight.

So...I'm not exactly sad that marching season is over. They'll have parade practices, but they'll go down to like 1 a week soon hopefully...meaning they'll be less stressed out, tired, and bitchy. And, most importantly, hopefully I'll have some more time to spend with Corey, although the next few weekends will be busy with church stuff and I'd imagine he'll be at his dad's a lot since he hasn't much lately...but at least I know he'll sleep there lol...and in the long run, we'll end up having more time together. I'll still do pit next year though...so I can see him...how sad is that...but it's true.

Ok its 2:16, which feels like 3:16, and I have a paper to write before I go decorate cars for trunk-or-treating tomorrow...so...goodnight!

So quick catch up...We rocked at competition last Saturday. Awards (If I can remember them from that far back...)
-1st place percussion class 4A
-1st place music class 4A
-1st place drum major class 4A
-2nd place visual ensamble
-1st place marching class 4A
-1st place general effect class 4A
-Superior rating
-1st place class 4A
-Grand Champion
-total score: 91.6 (for mb, that rocks-the next highest band was I think an 83.1)
That’s everything we could have possibly gotten except “1st place visual ensamble class 4A,” which includes guard. This is NOT meant to offend any guard members, because they work incredibly hard, as does the marching band, but Apex is known for not having a very good color guard. This year is primarily freshmen guard members, which means lack of experiance combined with a not-so-great instructer who keeps changing the drill mean that guard struggles. So with that in mind, a 91.6 overall score is even more awesome! Go Apex! We’ll compete at Cary Band Day tomorrow at 11PM if anyone is awake that late and wants to come see!

This week...I did homework. Yup. I was up really late last night so I’m going to bed soon. However...typing every word of my history section did pay off because the bonus question on today’s quiz was “what was the weather like on *insert date*” and I had that written down. It had absolutely nothing to do with history, but I knew there was a light drizzle! That brings up this quarters notecard quiz average from a 103 to a 106. I had a 108 last quarter, which was the sole reason I had an A for the quarter. I also wrote out my outline, which ended up being almost 4 pages long lol...but I found out that one of my sources doesn’t have anything good in it so I need to find another one soon.

Today was odd. We watched a video on the Madison Scouts in band because Mr. Rowe randomly agreed to it, and then we watched a play in 2nd period. I thought I was going to get the chance to run up and see Corey before he went to 3rd period, but the play ran over so that didn’t work. Since I’d had two easy classes in the morning, the afternoon dragged on FOREVER. I looked at my watch in history, thinking the bell was about to ring, and we’d only been in there like 45 min. Yuck. By physics, I was just like weeeeee I don’t care anymore haha. I went to the game tonight...marching show was awesome...lost the game though, which means avoiding angry football players...yuck. I played in the stands again, which was a lot of fun...I decided that I am an honorary member of the flute section who plays the clarinet...because the flutes are a lot of fun to be around in the stands haha. We danced a lot, and I don’t think any of the other sections did hehe^^ Much fun. Oh and Justin randomly came and sat with us and we decided he could hold a flute liar because they all hate liars because flutes have to wear them on their arm and they’re painfully tight.

Lots to do tomorrow...homework (finishing Huck Finn, writing two papers on it, 10 physics problems that I’m not entirely sure I know how to do because I was really out of it in class today lol, reading for English, and reading for history. I’m not taking history notes though because Mr. Feldman swore he wouldnt give us a notecard quiz since we have to read two sections. Thank God), going out for sushi w/band ppl, and then to competition! Sunday=finish homework, help decorate cars, and then go to this awesome Trunk-or-Treat thing at church^^ Hopefully I'll find time for all that!

Lalala procrastination even though I don't have time to procrastinate...I'm being a bad girl and blogging anyway because I'm still behind.

Saturday was our competition at Appalachian State University. It was like a 3 1/2 hour drive each way, so we got charter buses! yay! Except the seats were TINY lol; Corey couldn't fit unless he sat sideways with his legs in the isle. But it wasn't as bouncy as the regular buses so that was nice. Melissa and I tried a Mountain Dew (with the bubbles bown out of course) but it was sooo sweet (and I had a huge lunch lol) so we didn't drink much of it. The threat of being hyper was fun though-it scared Austin and Corey hehe. We played MASH again hahaha since it's becoming a bus tradition...much fun. We got to the campus...and it was really really really cold lol...Katie and I thought we were supposed to be inside with the rest of the marching band but soon found out extras were supposed to stay outside...so at least we got a few extra minutes in the warmth lol...The show was kinda hectic. A whole bunch of things went wrong-the fire extinguishers (which make the smoke for the "cannons" on the boat) didn't work because it was so cold that the compressed gasses inside compressed enough that they couldn't come out...Lindsay's picolo broke mid-show, and she has a solo, but luckily she and Melissa were able to switch pics before it. The cold air made it really hard for people to play their instruments, which also messed up the tuning. Between the cold and the wind, the color guard had some trouble, mostly with the toss in Ride...apparently a few of them dropped flags, but I didn't see any of them so maybe most of them were toward the back, which is obviously better than being in the front if something like that happens. The extra that has a speaking part turned the mic to the wrong station so no one could hear the announcement about the "lost band member" and he didn't try to change it or anything because he thought it was just broken since he turned it on, just to the wrong station. Oddly enough though, that seemed to be the first show where the audience and judges actually understood that part-the time when there wasn't an explanation! Go figure. By the time the show was over, I litterally couldn't feel my fingers...I think I'll bring gloves tomorrow, not that it'll be as cold as it was in the mountains, but I was so scared I was going to drop the camera lol so just in case. None of the cars that are usually there were around the bus to take equipment, so one of the band parents told me to put the camera under the bus...but I was worried that it would fall over and break...so Devin let me wrap his sax case's strap around it so it was secured to his case. Then we went up in the stands and watched a little bit...The Ap. State band played, which was cool because there were a few kids in it that went to Apex last year. Then came awards. A lot of people didn't expect anything because so many things had gone wrong. However...here's our list of awards:
-Superior Award (which means we got over a certain total score)
-Class 4A best visual effect
-Class 4A best general effect
-Class 4A best drum major
-Class 4A 3rd place overall (not all categories of scores count toward the overall per class winners)
-I forget the name of this one...but it essentially means we had the best drum major in the entire show, so she gets the honor of conducting the Ap. State band at some event. Go Megan!
So that was pretty cool hehe^^ Oh and we were greatly amused that one of the bands-I think the one that won grand champ actually-didn't stay. They were represented by a few band parents lol. It just looked really weird.
The ride home was sooooooo nice. We watched the tape of the competition-and the tv infront of us was brokenish so it kept changing colors...so Taylor decided that's why we won best visual effect "we can change colors!" hahaha...Then we watched "Mighty Joe Young," which I think I saw a really long time ago but barely remembered. Seems like a pretty good movie...my back was really bothering me though, so I ended up laying down on Coreys lap and kinda half slept for a while so I missed the ending hehe. After I was fully awake and sitting up again, Corey was tired, so I pulled him into a sortof laying down position against me...and we had the WEIRDEST conversation hahaha. I thought he was just kidding around for a lot of it, but he didn't remember it when I asked him about it later lol. For example...here's an exert:
Corey: You know what's neat?
Me: What?
Corey: Bleeding walls.
Me: Bleeding walls?
Corey: Yeah...you know...those things with water, and for Halloween you paint them red and it looks like it's bleeding.
Me: *thinking of ideas for decorations for trunk or treating* Do you have one?
Corey: Have one what?
Me: A bleeding wall.
Corey: Walls don't bleed.
Me: Well what if you took two walls and put them near eachother and filled the space between them with blood and then punched holes in the wall?
Corey: Then you'd have bigger problems than a bleeding wall.
And then we got into an Edgar Allen Poe discussion o_O hahaha.
When we got back to Apex, it was like 1:30 AM...so I forgot about getting the camera from under the bus since I'm used to a band parent taking it out of the car before we even get to school. So I spent part of the week worrying because I didn't see it in the office...but I asked Devin, and he said that by the time he got his sax out from under the bus, the camera was gone, meaning someone must have taken it out. I was so freaked out that it was lost...but I asked Mr. Rowe, who asked the kid whose dad is in charge of props, and it sounds like one of the parents gave it to him to keep with the boat. So -phew- lol.

Sunday, we didn't have youth, so I did some cleaning and such and then Corey got to come over for a little bit^^ which was wonderful as always :-D

Most of this week is kinda blury...I fell down on Monday at lunch on the sidewalk and scraped myself up...I was glad Rachel was the only one there because she was the only one that has lunch with me that wouldn't laugh haha, despite some of them trying to say that they wouldn't have. I looked like a total klutz and I can imagine it looked pretty funny. So I got a couple of bandaids from Mr. K since he was near by, but I had to get more in history...and the first aid kit is on the wall because it used to be a science room...and it's up high...and I could barely reach it haha especially since I was one handed...luckily Steven saw me and helped haha. We had a physics test yesterday...and I had rehersal and got to play with the fire extinguisher because starting at tomorrow's competition, I get to be a British soldier that fires back at the ship...I'm scared I'm going to hit the trumpets though lol (and Corey stops like almost right in front of where I'll be standing lol) so Mr. Rowe said I can move way away from the field...and hope for the best haha. I already appologized to them in advance in case I hit one or more of them. Today...sucked. I got my English paper back-my lowest grade so far in that class, not to mention it being the first grade of the semester. Apparently a tragic hero can only have ONE flaw and my thesis was that Proctor was a tragic hero because of his TWO flaws...I just thought it was anything to do with a generally good person with (a) flaw(s). Oh well...Then I found out that the Huck Finn paper was moved from Friday to the Monday after...so I was happy for a min even though I know that'll be a busy weekend (home football game, Cary Band Day-which is a parade and a competition, decorating Corey's trunk, and Trunk-or-Treat for youth) but still, an extra few days for editing is always nice. However...then he passed out a sheet with prompt options...and I discovered that we have not one paper to write, but TWO papers. Ugh. The second one shouldn't be quite as hard as a normal one, but still, it's more work and for me it's about the same amount of time. We also have an outline due Friday for our term paper, which I'm way behind on-at least compared to where I want to be, though many other people in the class seem to be even further behind. We were supposed to have a review day in history. When everyone did bad on Mr. Feldman's test last week, he asked us what he could to better so we could do better on tests. I asked if we could have a review day, since that's the one policy of Ms. Blanton that I actually think is great. We hadn't had one before Mr. Feldman's first test because he said "you can ask me questions but I'm not going to plan a review for you." So Mr. Feldman said sure, and he told our class yesterday that today would be set as a review day since our test is Monday. We walked in to class today...he asked if there were any questions...and went over like 1 thing for 30 seconds and then had us spend the rest of the period pointlessly making these poster things of "medicines" with weird ingredients. I mean, that was more fun than a review, but I'd much rather reveiw. It's not that I don't understand the material, so I can't ask questions on it-It's just that I'd like a refresher from things we learned a long time ago! Gaaaah so I was mad about that. We got 4 essay question prompts, one of which will be on the test but we don't know which until then. We can't bring in an essay or an outline, but he sugested that we write out each of the 4 essays at home this weekend. If he really thinks anyone has time to write 4 essays in addition to studying for that test...he's insane. Ugh. So then I went to physics...we got our tests back from yesterday. I thought the test was really easy and that I'd done really well. However-for the second time in one day-I got the lowest grade that I've ever had in that class. Then we spent forever going over this thing that I think I understand, but I don't understand the steps she went through to explain it. It just seemed pointless to me and got me confused until I just tried to do the problem with logic reasoning instead of using whatever she was using as proof. I could not WAIT to leave.

Things got better after school though...I went over to Anna's for some evil plan work hehe...much fun...and I had dinner with her family...so while we were waiting for that, she and I went over to Corey's to get the DVD we'd watched on Thursday that he still had...Corey wasn't home, but his mom was, so we talked for a few minutes and then left...and just after we'd turned around, Corey came down the street! Anna called it before it happened hahaha. So we shouted at him and he came over to the car...so we got out and gave him hugs hehe...and then Anna climbed through her car window o_O and Corey freaked her out by acting like he was going to open the door...Then we decided we needed to go, but Corey stood in front of the car! I threatened him with the idea of shooting the fire extinguisher at him at the competition tomorrow lol but it didn't really work. He moved eventually though...and ran next to us down the street for a while haha so we were shouting through the window, much fun.

And now I that I'm FINALLY caught up...I should go do homework >< Yuck.

Continuing from yesterday...

Friday, I woke up early and went to the fair. The band opened the day at 9:30 so we got there around 10 assuming band people could meet us soon afterwards...but no one knew ahead of time that they needed to bring a note if they were staying at the fair instead of riding the bus back to school. So they went back...the rest of us wandered around a lot while we waited for Corey and Liz to go to school, get Corey's car, and drive it back to the fair lol. We ran into the Broughton crowd :-) Then we saw Justin, a guy from school that sat with us at lunch last year-I never really knew him well but I guess some of the others sort of did-and we found out that he's been out of school the last 3 weeks because he just had open heart surgery o_O He's doing well though, and he's back in school now. We got interviewed by a random lady...and she asked us if we were going to see Clay...and then said something about how it would mostly be 42 year old moms so of course Dave and some of the others and I were like "FORTY TWO!!!" hahaha. Dena and I went on the swings but no one else wanted to. Then the others were going to go on a ride while Dena and I waited for Corey, Liz, and Steven, but the generator blew out lol so that didn't work. Then there was a big issue about where we were meeting people because we said "the biggest ferris wheel" but Steven came and said that, depending where you were standing, two of the four looked like they were the biggest. But he found us an eventually so did Corey and Liz. Then we got some lunch...oh my gosh...I dragged Liz (a fellow vegitarian) with me to a place that had hamburgers hoping I could get a bun with cheese on it or something similar...the guy that was working there must have never heard of not eating meat...he kept asking us questions..."How can you survive without eating meat?" "Uhh...we eat a lot of bread" *falls over* I didn't realize until as he handed it to me that my cheese on a bun was like the cheese they use for cheese fries lol, melted, so that was odd, but it worked. We met up with the others...ate...went on two more rides...Lol one was this thing with bees that went around in a circle and up and down...and we started out with me in the middle between Corey and Steven...and the guy that ran the ride came over and made me and Corey switch places...so Steven was on the outside, Corey in the middle, and me on the inside...then the ride started...haha I was glad he made us switch because once it got fast enough, we were all pushed toward the outside...meaning I squished Corey and both of us squished Steven lol, poor Steven! After that we saw some more people we knew-including Brittany! I turned around when we were in line for the ferris wheel and there she was! So I ran over, gave her a quick hug, and then had to run back in line because it was our turn lol. We saw Jo a little later too, which was cool and we all attacked her.
Then I went home and wrote my English paper and did some cleaning and such...and then Corey came over :-) We watched part of Nell, which was good yet creepy.

Ok stopping for the night to do some other things...bye!

It's been insanely way too long since I've updated. And since I've only got 45 min and I'd like to get through it all, I'll spare you guys my usual crazy detailedness :-)

Starting right from where I last left off...I went to Melissa's house with Corey and Austin two Saturdays ago. We watched Mulan Rouge, which I still don't feel like looking up to see how it's spelled. It was very odd but it made me giggle because it combines the lyrics from sooooo many different songs that I knew. I didn't even cry at the end haha even if it was because Melissa's brother kept coming in the room and messing with his drumset during the sad parts. So that was a fun double date-definitly have to do something like that again^^

After that, Melissa and I went over to Kara's house and we were later joined by Dena. We went to the Plaster House-which I found out moved like right across the street from our high school lol that's awesome that it's so close now-and I wasn't smart and picked something too big to finish before they closed. It's really pretty though-a carousel horse-and I can go back and finish it another time. Then we went back to Kara's...and then I left for a while to go see the play (The Mouse that Roared) which was WONDERFUL and made me crack up many times...Jill acting like a valley girl in a dress was priceless...along with Dave's expressions as he put on the queen's accessories...though I still say he should've stuffed his shirt with her fruit...oh and can't forget the blue eyeshadow! Aferwards Dave said he was going to cut his hair...which made me sad...and so I mentioned it when I went back to Kara's house...and the next thing I knew, I heard "DON'T CUT YOUR HAIR!!!" because she was yelling it into the phone hahahaha. I got to eat leftover pineapple pizza, which ruled, because I know very few people that like pineapple pizza besides me, but Melissa and Kara are two of them...possibly the only two actually haha. Then we played pin the tail on the donkey...*giggles* it was fun...oh and while we did that, Melissa and I discovered that if you blow into sparkling grape juice with a straw, it makes it uncarbonated and then we like it...yummy hehehe...more on that later...I won the first two rounds of pin the tail on the donkey and Melissa got the last three. Then we "hatched" those foam animal things that look like pills and u soak them in water...very cool hehehe. I think we went up to bed then...not that we went to sleep haha...well Kara did pretty soon because she had a headache...but Melissa and I stayed up and talked/gossiped for a long time, much fun. The next morning, we had two different peanut races: one with shelled peanuts in a bowl where each of us had a straw...we had to suck through the straw to pick up the peanuts and put them into our own separate bowls...with a one minute time limit. Melissa was awesome at it, but Kara and I started cracking up and couldn't stop so we only got like 7 peanuts each hahaha. The next one was a race. We timed eachother rolling a peanut across the floor with a toothpick. I think I won that one. Each contest gave each of us some monopoly money and then we had a mock auction, which was cool :-)

Ok so yeah, that was detailed. Oops. I'm not going to finish this within 13 min haha.

Midterm week was insane. I was sooooo stressed and it sucked. I left my English midterm Monday shaking...though we got our grades today and I actually did well on it :-) Tuesday was my band midterm-really easy-and my history test-which was hard-and a lot of people didn't do well on...bleh...but I did well enough to have exactly a 92.5 for the quarter *wipes forehead* thank goodness for bonus questions on notecard quizzes! The physics midterm was pretty easy. I didn't realize something for one question and had a total brain fart on another lol but the rest of it was fine. Wednesday was the PSAT, which was almost a relief compared to midterms haha. The English section was actually surprizingly easy-I usually have trouble with the reading comprehension and there was more of that than normal, but I only left one of them blank. Math was fine too, and the grammar section flew by. Woot :-) I got my picture back at lunch and I don't look high this year! YAY! We had a free day in history. Melissa and I didn't want to watch the movie (Huck Fin) since it was optional so we went down the hall and got physics books and sat in the hallway and worked on the classwork we knew we'd have to turn in at the end of the day. Corey's class is like 2 classes down from ours...and he has 2nd lunch...which starts in the middle of our history class...so we had it all planned out of how we were going to go see him on his way to lunch...but when the bell rang, a few people came out of our room because they wanted to go get their pictures since they didn't during 1st lunch...and Melissa and I made a quick recovery, saying that we were just standing up so we wouldn't be trampled by the crowd...gaaaah I was so mad lol...We wanted to "go get our pictures too" to find Corey and Austin in the cafeteria but we chickened out. Oh well. Then we went to physics where we finished a lab and did some classwork...and Melissa and I decided that midterms and PSATS take away our ability to think...so we sat there and cracked up at the most retarded things...like "rotary chickens" (we meant rotissary) hahaha. We didn't get all of the class work things...Melissa just wrote down the question for one of them and we both wrote just the formula for another...and yet we somehow got full credit hahaha hey no complaints!

Gaaah 1 minute! *gets as much of this down as possible*

Wednesday night and Thursday morning=homework.

Thursday at like 12:30 I went over to Corey's to help with the carwash...which was soooooo much fun! Steven, if you end up doing that for yours, I definitly want to help lol. We had water fights-Corey and Anna kept spraying eachother for a while but Corey wouldn't spray me...so I decided to spray him instead hahaha ONCE and he got me back a whole bunch of times but that's fine because it was fun hahaha even if it was cold. We made lots of money for Corey's scout project^^ and watched part of the Hitchikers TV series on DVD. Corey insisted on taking Anna, Hannah, and me out to dinner since we helped...and we got to go to Torerros because we were all in a Mexican mood hehe so it was very yummy.

lalala two minutes past my bedtime...I'll try to find time for this later! Goodnight!

I'm debating whether I feel like blogging...because I've done homework litterally all afternoon in attempt to get ahead for this weekend...but I still have plenty I could work on. Maybe I'll just make a short entry.

This has definitly been an emotional roller coaster week. I swear I've gone from being hyper and jumping around with friends to trying not to cry-not always sucessfully, or sometimes just letting myself cry-more times than I feel like counting. I've discovered that, as much as it sucks to worry about people, being jealous is much worse. I'm not used to that feeling at all and it majorly threw me off; I've been overreacting to a lot of things lately apparently that shouldn't be that big of a deal. Things have gotten better, but I'm still waiting on a conversation that I'm not sure if it'll make me feel better or worse than now.

Funny how I can't remember pretty much anything specific about the week besides that stuff.

Oh I get to be a British person and shoot a cannon for marching band...Anyone happen to know where to get a British Redcoat coat like they wore in Pirates of the Carribean? Or a hat like that? I've checked party city, ToysRus, and Joannes, but all I could find was a hat...and if I have to buy a coat too, I'd really rather not spend $15 on a hat that I'm going to wear like maybe 5ish times (3 more competitions...I have no idea how many more home games there are) for like a 5 minute period each lol. The hat did look pretty cool though hehe. I'm debating whether to just get a pirate hat and take off the skull and crossbones from the front (it's just a sticker) and sew a feather to it lol. It'd look similar, and I doubt the judges would notice...I mostly just need help finding a red coat that would look like theirs...if not, I'm going to find a red suitcoat (mom thinks she has an old one...if not, off to Goodwill!) and attach big plastic gold-colored buttons and some random strips of white fabric to it I guess lol...Problem there being that next week is midterms and we have a competition the Saturday after. So yeah.

We have a pep rally tomorrow morning for homecoming during 1st period...but the administration is being stupid and only having one pep rally...Last year we had two and barely fit everyone, and this year we have 650 freshmen! Lol. I have band first period, and Mr. Rowe will have to be in the gym with the marching band...but since we won't all fit, he said if we can't find a seat, we can just go to the bandroom and stay there because the pep rally will only last like 1/2 of the period if that. So...I'm thinking I'll go to school and hang out in the office/cafeteria lobby for a while...since the band lobby will be like empty since all the marching band people have to come early...so I'll just take my time getting to the gym...and hopefully it'll be full and I won't find a seat. So I'll stay in the bandroom and read The Crucible.

I'm skipping homecoming tomorrow night since there's no marching show...I'll use it as homework time...I know Mr. Koechling is going to give us a few essay topics and we have to pick one...It's part of the exam...but we get to take it home and make an outline of it so we'll have time to write the essay in class on Monday during the exam. I'm going to ask him if we can just go ahead and write the essay lol and I'll just copy it during the exam unless he'd prefer to just take my typed copy. I dunno if he'll let us. So anyway, I'll have to work on that this weekend...I already did what I assume will be my history homework...If not, I'm going to be soooo mad because that'll make 3 for 3-every time I've gotten ahead in that class so far, we haven't had to do the section. I dunno if I'll have any physics, but it wasn't on the board so I doubt it, but she occasionally doesn't add an assignment until the day assigns it. The main thing I need to do is read The Crucible. It's a 2 1/2 hour play, about 80 pages in my Lit. book...not that that's insanely long for a play or anything...it's just...I have a paper due on it a week from this Monday-and I haven't started reading it yet! Ahh! Plus I really need to work on my research paper...I haven't found enough sources yet...I don't like this whole "full-text database" thing, I just don't understand the point...There is sooo much information out there on my topic written by people with masters degrees in English and English professors and stuff like that but I can only use that for one of my five sources! Gah so I have...one of the other 4. Bleh. So English in general is making me a little stresed right now lol...not to mention our midterm is Monday, we don't find out what's on it until tomorrow, but the entire thing is written response questions...no multiple choice or fill in the blank type things at all. Eep. That word looks odd when there's one capitol "E" and the other lowercase o_O I think I need sleep haha because I'm acting weird. I also have a history test and a physics midterm Tuesday.

Busy weekend...Obviously, tomorrow is devoted to homework...Saturday, assuming Corey's here (we're not entirely sure if he'll be at his dads or not), he, Austin, and I are going to Melissa's house around noon...walking somewhere for lunch, and watching Mulan (yes I know that's not how you spell it but I forget how to and I don't feel like looking it up) Rouge...because Johnny Depp isn't in it like in The Secret Window...*cracks up* Later, Melissa, Dena, and I are going to Kara's for a sleepover^^ I hardly ever get to see Kara anymore, so it'll be great to catch up with her. We're going to the plaster house, where I haven't been in AGES so that'll rule...hehehe it's so much fun! I used to have birthday parties there when I was little. I'm leaving for a while to go see the play with Zach, Allison, and Anna...and of course Davey and Jill since they're in it! Then back to Kara's. I'd like to say that I'll spend more time with Corey on Sunday, but it's going to depend on homework. Then youth! The leaders said to be sure we come the next three weeks but they wouldn't say why.

We have next Thursday and Friday off! And the fair comes Friday! We have a band competition Saturday...so I'm thinking fair gathering Friday! Yes I know it'll be opening day, but it's still a work day for parents so maybe they wouldn't be able to take their kids...and I mean, it's the fair, it's going to be crowded no matter what we do. We could go in the afternoon and maybe it won't be as bad then as it will at night. Thoughts? Conflicts? *wants to go to the fair because had a lot of fun last year*

So it wasn't so short hehe.

So I have a few things I need to put on here lol-this will be a very scrambled random entry.

I forgot one really important part of the band competition! When we got back, Austin asked Melissa out! *dances* I totally missed that one hahaha I even had to ask which Austin because there are two of them in band that I know *falls over* (For those that are currious, it's the baratone) hehe but it's all good because they're adorable and this is the happiest I've seen Melissa in ages :-D

Last night was youth...and we found out we're doing something really fun for Halloween! We get to decorate the trunks of cars, dress up, fill the trunks with candy, and let little kids for unsafe neighborhoods come and "trunk or treat" that night. Soooo cool hehe^^ Then we talked about drinking and I got to tell the story about my brother falling off of an abandoned grocery store at 2 AM and it turned out that Rachel told the same story to her group, which made me crack up.

This is from an email that Taylor sent me...It's supposed to be about September 11, but I think it applies for a lot more than that...and I just thought it was touching so I'm going to post it here:

IF I KNEW

If I knew it would be the last time
That I'd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly
and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.

If I knew it would be the last time
that I see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and kiss
and call you back for one more.

If I knew it would be the last time
I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape each action and word,
so I could play them back day after day.

If I knew it would be the last time,
I could spare an extra minute
to stop and say "I love you,"
instead of assuming you would KNOW I do.

If I knew it would be the last time
I would be there to share your day,
Well I'm sure you'll have so many more,
so I can let just this one slip away.

For surely there's always tomorrow
to make up for an oversight,
and we always get a second chance
to make everything just right.

There will always be another day
to say "I love you,"
And certainly there's another chance
to say our "Anything I can do?"

But just in case I might be wrong,
and today is all I get,
I'd like to say how much I love you
and I hope we never forget.

Tomorrow is not promised to anyone,
young or old alike,
And today may be the last chance
you get to hold your loved one tight.

So if you're waiting for tomorrow,
why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes,
you'll surely regret the day,

That you didn't take that extra time
for a smile, a hug, or a kiss
and you were too busy to grant someone,
what turned out to be their one last wish.

So hold your loved ones close today,
and whisper in their ear,
Tell them how much you love them
and that you'll always hold them dear

Take time to say "I'm sorry,"
"Please forgive me," "Thank you," or "It's okay."
And if tomorrow never comes,
you'll have no regrets about today.

One more thing and then I have to actually go start my homework hehe...Stolen from Davey's Blurty:

1. Who are you?
2. Are we friends?
3. When and how did we meet?
4. Do you have a crush on me?
5. Would you kiss me?
6. Describe me in one word.
7. What was your first impression?
8. Do you still think that way about me now?
9. If you had to pick one, am I more a big brother, a little brother, or a twin to you?
10. Do we share any private jokes? Name one if we do.
11. What reminds you of me?
12. If you could give me anything what would it be?
13. How well do you know me?
14. When's the last time you saw me?
15. Ever wanted to tell me something but couldn't?
16. Are you going to put this on your journal and see what I say about you?

I doubt it'll let you leave that long of a comment but feel free to email it to me if you want to hehe.

Hey it's waaay to late but I need to update while I finish my 4th blueberry muffin of the day (I've randomly been really hungry today lol-4 blueberry muffins are only a tiny part of what I've eaten) so anyway...here it is!

Thursday I don't think much out of the ordinary happened except that I stayed after school until 4:30 for no reason whatsoever because I was supposed to stay for extras practice for marching band but Mr. Rowe told me at like 4:15 that I could leave. Until then, I'd litterally sat beside the field the whole time. So I got pretty agrivated about that...mostly because I had a lot of homework to do...but oh well. So then I went home, did homework, rearranged my English paper into something different very quickly, which makes me nervous lol because I litterally copied and pasted most of my conclusion paragraph into a body paragraph and changed like two words of it and then wrote a whole new conclusion. Ahh! But oh well, it may not be my greatest paper, but it's the last one of the quarter so I'll live. I didn't realize until litterally as I was walking into my parents room to say goodnight that I still had on clothes instead of pajamas, meaning I hadn't taken a shower because I'd finished homework like 5 min before, and I just decided to ignore it and then felt icky all day Friday lol but oh well. Oh and I just remembered that was picture day too so I missed part of physics but it was fun because I got to meet up with Corey and we saw some other friends too :-) Oh and at lunch we discovered a new game-Rachel decided to see who could blow a mini-marshmallow the farthest distance. She put one on the edge of her tounge and blew. At first Melissa and I wouldn't try but then we realized that we probably have more lung power than Rache and Steven from band...but...lol we discovered that we are in a total band geek habit of tounging (touching the tip of your tounge to your reid/roof of your mouth, depending on the instrument) as we start to blow...which doesn't work well with marshmallows. Melissa's went a few feet, but I made some awful sounding noise because the marshmallow got stuck or something when I accidentally tounged hahaha so it went like...6 inches. But it was fun. Then we had to burry the marshmallows *giggles*

Friday...did the rest of my physics lab during lunch because Melissa and I didn't realize one of the steps we had to do in class until the Thursday night...but it didn't really matter because most of the class didn't understand what to do anyway...and she gave us class time...and then we realized we weren't smart anyway lol because we forgot to add some stuff together...yeah. We had a half-test in history (the other half was a paper we wrote a while ago) which wasn't totally horrible, at least for a test in that class. There were some really stupid questions on there though-One talked about Thaddeous Stevens. I mean, he's very well known because he was a leader of the Radical Republicans and I knew he was a congressman. But two of the answers (it was multiple choice) to "Thaddeous Stevens was..." were "the leader of the Radical Republicans who was in the Senate" and "the leader of the Radical Republicans who was in the House of Representatives." Gaaah who cares which branch he was in?! So I know I missed that one because I said Senate and he was in the House. Oh well. I skipped the football game (marching band was only doing the pregame show and stand tunes so I wasn't required to come-there was some awards ceremony thing during halftime for sponsors for the school or something like that so they canceled the marching show) and stayed home and did my notes for history because I really really want Corey to come over Sunday afternoon...hence why I should go to bed now haha but I'm going to finish this entry first...so I took 9 2/3 pages of notes (*dies*) and talked to people online and tried to read some for English but I got tired so I went to bed.

Today was the marching competition at Clinton High School! We tried to get on a better bus but it was full so we ended up with mostly the same people...but the worst ones were in the back and we were in the front...and it was like 1000000 times better than last weekend! The marching competiton went well. One of the 4A bands dropped out and we were the first 5A band to go, but the people in charge didn't want to get ahead of schedule because some people might show up just in time to see their kids perform and miss it if they went early, so they had a long break instead. During the break, they let us go ahead and set up pit and extra equipment, so we just stood out there for a long time hehe but it was okay because it was really laid back. The show looked good^^ but I was afraid to over emphasize anything because last week I felt like I got people's hopes up...While we were heading to get food, we saw the Broughton pit so we talked to them for a while, much fun. Geeze I hadn't seen Andy and especially Kelly in FOREVER!!! I don't think I've seen Kelly since March at the movies! I felt bad though hahaha because Marc was the only one I could recognize at first-because of the uniforms and the hats mostly-and I didn't know Andy was in pit so I like jumped when I heard his voice hahaha...There was one girl who seemed really nice because she supported my neutrality idea and I don't know who she is or if I'm supposed to know who she is lol or if she was just a random nice person who talked to me because she was standing between the other people I was talking to. Anyway, then they left to perform. They played a song we played in band last year that we started singing and couldn't remember what song it was hahaha and I guess we didn't pay much attention to the titles of the songs when they were announced but oh well. They did well^^ especially their color guard and they had awesome see through flags! Good job Broughton people^^ Soon after, it was time for the awards ceremony...and despite my worrying about getting peoples hopes up, we actually did very well! Megan got 1st place drum major!!! For non band geeks, drum major=the person who conducts the band. She's so nice and she's really good so I'm glad she got an award for it :-D We were all disapointed that she didn't place last week but this definitly made up for it. This competition had different awards than the last one. There was a "horn line" one, which Melissa said meant brass and woodwinds, and we didn't place in that. There wasn't a general effect award. We didn't get any of the other awards that had to do with specific things, so we all thought we wouldn't place. However...The announcer read out the scores...3rd place in the 5A category=Scotland (which is known for being really really good)...Second place=APEX HIGH! *dances* We screamed soooo loud hahaha it ruled. It was exciting to get 2nd place, but honestly I was more relieved that everyone would be happy than I was excited about placing. I was thrilled to see everyone smiling! Cape Fear got first place in 5A and overall. We were 3rd place overall. They also had a "People's Choice Award" where the crowd got to vote if they paid for a program with a ballot in it, and that award went to Broughton. I'm guessing the scores were out of 200, because we got a 174.5. Cape Fear had a 178. If you make those into percentages (So we can compare it out of 100 because that's what I'm used to seeing lol) it'd be an 87.25 for us and an 89 for Cape Fear. So not bad at all! We were 1.75 points away from being tied for best in the competition-awesome! Oh gosh, when we got on the bus, everyone was screaaaaaaming lol, especially when Megan got on-even I screamed a bunch hahaha that's unusual. Then we left...the bus ride was loud, and people sang songs again, but it was a lot more bearable this time. I think it was the combination of not being right next to the people singing, the fact that they were only singing one song at a time for the most part, and the generally happy aura in the bus. Liz and I talked a bunch. She was my buddy tonight lol-we decided we were bathroom buddies because I swear no one else in marching band that we're friends with ever has to pee when we do. And I'm always afraid I'll get lost. So yeah hahahaha. We kept making Corey play games on Liz's cell on the bus so we could have girl talk and we'd shut up whenever he started listening-hehe poor Corey! We love you!

So now I'm home! Lol. I was going to try to get my English reading done and work on my history vocab...but you know what...its 1:32 AM...so I'm going to go to bed. I'll get up semi-early so I can get it done and still have time for Corey to come over before youth *craves some Corey time* hehe ;-) O:-)

I'm so glad marching people will be happy for at least 2 weeks (no competition next weekend)!!! *relieved sigh* Yay! hehe...and Oct 30th, it'll all be over :-D ...g'night!
