*giggles* I’ve actually been given permission to procrastinate to blog hehe :-D
Well, we avoided the snow we were supposed to get on Wednesday and just got a bunch of rain instead...Tap class was...uhh...different...thank goodness for Kaley (or however u spell that), I don’t know what we’d do right now if she wasn’t doing so much work on the coreography. Thursday...urm...*lack of memory* I got into a very interesting argument with my math teacher...Basically, the way I did a word problem was different than the way she’d done it...and I got a different answer...which she admitted was more right than her answer (one of those things where you find the senerio that would give a company the greatist profit given limited resources)...and her graph didn’t even have my answer listed as an option, yet it worked when you put it back in the problem...and she agreed with it...yet she said she’d never seen anyone do the problems the way I did them...which tells me SHE is the one doing them incorectly, not me...and then said we shouldn’t do them that way for the quiz or test or anything. I was very...what’s the word... “fired up” I guess lol...I mean, it’s not like I discovered some mathimatical flaw or something, I just actually followed the problem in the equations, and so it was right but we shouldn’t do it the right way, we should do it the other way and get a less right answer that wouldn’t make the company as much money...I got the feeling it was because she didn’t want to try to explain the way I did it to the class, which was already confused by our argument...*rolls eyes* I’m going to stop blabbing about math stuff that no one cares about now lol.
Yesterday...Friday the 13th...*scary music plays* hehe...Well, it did seem a little strange during the day...I didn’t have a very good school day from 2nd period on...In padeia we talked about how people have to adapt to changes through life...and we watched a movie where a guy killed himself because he couldn’t accept the world in another view than the one he’d gotten used to. Most people reading this probably know me well enough to know those are not good topics to discuss around me...so I wasn’t exactly in a very happy mood, though I did ward off the flashbacks and such for the most part...and by lunch I was ok again...and then came math. Ugh. We had a test...and I finally thought I was completely understanding everything we were doing for once...but the test only had ten questions, and I’m assuming I just did some stupid things mathematically on some of them because when I’d check them, they’d be wrong. We had the entire class period (1 1/2 hours!) to work on the test...but I got really flustered and started making more and more stupid mistakes...so by the time the bell rang I only had six (hopefully) correct answers...of ten problems...one of which was just because I made a last minute guess that happened to work even though I couldn’t find my mistake...anyway...There were little numbers written by each problem, 8, 10, and 12, which I assume is how much the problem is worth...so I couldn’t have done much better than a 60, if that...ugh...which means I no longer have an A and have to have a 98 average on my next two tests to bring it back up, and that’s with my lowest quiz grade dropped and assuming my quiz and homework averages stay the same. Ugh. Then band came...and we had a playing test...of the 2nd clarinets, there were four Ds and one D++...I was not the D++ lol...not that a test grade in band makes a huge difference, but still...especially since I still don’t know what Mr. Rowe’s doing on that test that Melissa and I missed the theory lesson on...oh well.
After school, however...complete turn-around! Corey came home with me and we had our Valentine’s Day then, since he’s at his dads today. After an argument over who had to open their present first (haha, “pick a number! Uhh...pick another number!” not to mention us bringing Anna into it...even though she wasn’t there...we were trying to claim her for our own side...hahaha) I gave him a bear that I stuffed (kinda like one of those build-a-bears) wearing a chef outfit with “I Am Loved” pins all over it, and “Kiss the Cook” painted onto a heart on the chef hat...hehe. He gave me the cutest stuffed horse^^ (and it SPARKLES *giggles* it’s adorable) and a heart charm to add to the bracelet he gave me for Christmas <3. Then we watched part of the first Harry Potter movie...and all too soon it was time for him to go :’(
Last night I went to Ruth’s for her birthday, much fun :-) Lol, ultra-band-geek-ness! Every single person there was in band, though some were at other schools. Most of them were clarinets hehe ^^. Even her cake was band related, haha-it had music notes on it and a measure from the Lord of the Rings show clarinet part! So we all got nice and hyper from that...and then watched Pirates of the Carribean...I think that was the greatist amount of people I’ve heard talk along with a movie at once, including Monty Python. Almost everyone knew most of the lines haha. Oh, and we kept trying to call Austin to yell at him for not coming but he wasn’t home. Weeeeee...so that was fun...and then I came home and slept for like 11 hours lol!
Other stuff...urm...I’m supposed to go through a bunch of college stuff this weekend...Somehow that’s still completely unreal to me, looking at colleges to apply to...The thing is, all of the colleges that have sent me information packets are either out of state or private...and the only way I’m going to a private school is if I get a scholarship. I really want to go somewhere where I’ll have at least a few of my close friends with me or near by, no matter how stupid that sounds when thinking about colleges to apply to...so right now I’m thinking Willmington or Meredith...because honestly I’m kinda afraid of the State campus and Meredith is near State, UNCCH, and Duke, so hopefully some of my friends will end up there...and if they do, that means I really need a scholarship to Meredith...I’m looking at some things to put down on an application, so I’m thinking that next year I’ll do FTA (Future Teachers of America) and maybe the after school jazz band that’s going to start next year...I don’t have time to do something like Key Club or Honor Society though, and that kind of worries me...but I really don’t feel like spending that much time on the weekends doing work like that. Willmington shouldn’t be much of a problem since, although a scholarship would be nice, I could go there without one...I just want to know what some of my friends are considering...a lot of them seem to have no idea yet. If any of you have things you’re considering...*points to comments and IM*
O! I AM going on ASP! The guy called yesterday and said they managed to get a few more spots and I get one of them^^ so that’s cool, as long as he’s right about everything this time lol.
It might snow tomorrow...I dunno if I’m hoping for or against that...all I really care about with that is that Corey comes back before the roads get bad.
I guess that’s about it for now...though I swear I’m forgetting something I wanted to write about...oh well *posts*
