Update-ness: Umm...monday we had a math test...that we haven’t gotten back yet, which I better have done well on...I figured out, for me to have an A for the quarter, i have to have an average of a 98.something on this test and the next one. Tuesday...world civ test that I haven’t gotten back yet but I bet I did horribly...there were 45 questions...The first 40 were matching/fill in the blank/multiple choice/fill in the blank, each worth 1 point. the other 5 were short answer each worth 12 points! *dies* yeah. Tuesday night we had pre-state competition at Athens...And I got to see Laurie :-D but only for like 5 seconds...no other Athens people except this one guy that I don’t think recognized me lol...We played a song that we hadn’t played in about a month because Mr. Rowe decided it sounded better...we litterally played it in class that day for the first time in ages and then performed it. It sounded decent anyway though, and I like the song...And the judges said we were too loud even though Mr. Rowe keeps telling us we’re not loud enough lol...clarinets I mean...there’s one part where we’re some of the only people playing and it’s a low part so the judge thought it was the bass clarinets and said we were too loud...and then we crescendoed too much on our section solo thing...just like last year, but Mr. Rowe won’t listen to us lol. Oh well. Then I came home and stayed up til around 12:30 doing homework and somehow ended up not falling asleep til about 2. Fun stuff. Then the English speech wednesday...I wasn’t loud enough and for some reason couldn’t talk any louder and I went about 5 seconds over. I don’t know if he’ll count off for the 5 seconds or not, he differs in how strict he is on time limits...but some people talked for a really long time...One girl talked about why canibus should be legal for about 9 1/2 minutes...and believe it or not, she got me to agree with her once I heard the reasons. I guess after coming from science where we’d been talking about pollution (I swear everytime I’m in a class that talks about that, I go into environmentalist mode...If I wasn’t horrible with science I’d love to do something to do with the environment) and causes and effects (little kids aren’t allowed to have recess when the ozone levels are up because of the recent research...isn’t that horrible?!?!) especially with fossil fuels...something environment-changing sounded nice. I never knew hemp was from canibus...which obviously isn’t legal here...so the U.S. pays to import it from other places...and appaerntly hemp would be a really great fossil fuel substitute. If 6% of the farmland in the U.S. was used to grow canibus, there would be enough hemp produced to support all industry in the U.S. along with fuel for cars, instead of gasoline, and the only pollutant given off from burning it would be carbon dioxide. And since canibus is a plant, it uses that carbon dioxide as it grows and converts it into oxygen. She got into the medical aspects of the marijuana part too, but the hemp part was most interesting to me...future scientists reading this, think about it! Anyway, haha, away from the topic of illegal drug-growing plants...other speaches were pretty good for the most part...Nolan’s speech on why we should read more had the class pretty into it, as we always are when he speaks lol...You know, it’s really sad that my entire update so far has been about school...oh well haha, it takes over my life occasionally :P Then i went home and took a nap lol, and worked on my science project...which I should still be doing now O:-)...and got wide-awake for some gossip hehehe...and then bed...Today we worked a tiny bit on the group part of the science project that’s completely pointless because it should just be done individually since it’s presentations of our individual topics...Oh and I got mad at my teacher because we had a quiz and I, along with a bunch of other people, put “water power” as an answer instead of “hydroelectric power” because the book refered to it as water power and we hadn’t gone over it yet...and it was an open notes quiz...and he told us the point of open notes quizzes are to see if we did our homework (taking notes), not to see if we understood things yet...yet he counted that wrong. I got a “If I wanted your oppinion, I would’ve asked for it” from my teacher which kinda made me jump...oh well. More speeches in padeia...and at lunch the announcements came on and everyone finally shushed just in time to hear “...dismissing three hours early...” and then errupted into cheers hahaha...I swear, there is something about getting out early that makes people want to keep screaming...because like ten minutes after that I finally got so tired of everyone at the table screaming their normal conversations instead of just talking normally since we’re only like 3 feet apart, I called down the table “Hey guys guess what? Snow doesn’t make you need to talk louder!” but then like half the cafeteria was leaving so the noise kinda went with it anyway haha...and soon we went home...and it started snowing^^ and I got a short time w/Corey cause we took him home and mom wanted to stop by the library and gas station and Wendy’s before we dropped him off, so the extra time w/him was nice^^ Now it’s pretty and white outside...with much more to come :-D And lumberton hopefully got a bunch so maybe Corey’ll have to stay here this weekend:-D And I’m on page 11 of this document. Maybe I should go work on my project now *giggles*

Update-ness: Umm...monday we had a math test...that we haven’t gotten back yet, which I better have done well on...I figured out, for me to have an A for the quarter, i have to have an average of a 98.something on this test and the next one. Tuesday...world civ test that I haven’t gotten back yet but I bet I did horribly...there were 45 questions...The first 40 were matching/fill in the blank/multiple choice/fill in the blank, each worth 1 point. the other 5 were short answer each worth 12 points! *dies* yeah. Tuesday night we had pre-state competition at Athens...And I got to see Laurie :-D but only for like 5 seconds...no other Athens people except this one guy that I don’t think recognized me lol...We played a song that we hadn’t played in about a month because Mr. Rowe decided it sounded better...we litterally played it in class that day for the first time in ages and then performed it. It sounded decent anyway though, and I like the song...And the judges said we were too loud even though Mr. Rowe keeps telling us we’re not loud enough lol...clarinets I mean...there’s one part where we’re some of the only people playing and it’s a low part so the judge thought it was the bass clarinets and said we were too loud...and then we crescendoed too much on our section solo thing...just like last year, but Mr. Rowe won’t listen to us lol. Oh well. Then I came home and stayed up til around 12:30 doing homework and somehow ended up not falling asleep til about 2. Fun stuff. Then the English speech wednesday...I wasn’t loud enough and for some reason couldn’t talk any louder and I went about 5 seconds over. I don’t know if he’ll count off for the 5 seconds or not, he differs in how strict he is on time limits...but some people talked for a really long time...One girl talked about why canibus should be legal for about 9 1/2 minutes...and believe it or not, she got me to agree with her once I heard the reasons. I guess after coming from science where we’d been talking about pollution (I swear everytime I’m in a class that talks about that, I go into environmentalist mode...If I wasn’t horrible with science I’d love to do something to do with the environment) and causes and effects (little kids aren’t allowed to have recess when the ozone levels are up because of the recent research...isn’t that horrible?!?!) especially with fossil fuels...something environment-changing sounded nice. I never knew hemp was from canibus...which obviously isn’t legal here...so the U.S. pays to import it from other places...and appaerntly hemp would be a really great fossil fuel substitute. If 6% of the farmland in the U.S. was used to grow canibus, there would be enough hemp produced to support all industry in the U.S. along with fuel for cars, instead of gasoline, and the only pollutant given off from burning it would be carbon dioxide. And since canibus is a plant, it uses that carbon dioxide as it grows and converts it into oxygen. She got into the medical aspects of the marijuana part too, but the hemp part was most interesting to me...future scientists reading this, think about it! Anyway, haha, away from the topic of illegal drug-growing plants...other speaches were pretty good for the most part...Nolan’s speech on why we should read more had the class pretty into it, as we always are when he speaks lol...You know, it’s really sad that my entire update so far has been about school...oh well haha, it takes over my life occasionally :P Then i went home and took a nap lol, and worked on my science project...which I should still be doing now O:-)...and got wide-awake for some gossip hehehe...and then bed...Today we worked a tiny bit on the group part of the science project that’s completely pointless because it should just be done individually since it’s presentations of our individual topics...Oh and I got mad at my teacher because we had a quiz and I, along with a bunch of other people, put “water power” as an answer instead of “hydroelectric power” because the book refered to it as water power and we hadn’t gone over it yet...and it was an open notes quiz...and he told us the point of open notes quizzes are to see if we did our homework (taking notes), not to see if we understood things yet...yet he counted that wrong. I got a “If I wanted your oppinion, I would’ve asked for it” from my teacher which kinda made me jump...oh well. More speeches in padeia...and at lunch the announcements came on and everyone finally shushed just in time to hear “...dismissing three hours early...” and then errupted into cheers hahaha...I swear, there is something about getting out early that makes people want to keep screaming...because like ten minutes after that I finally got so tired of everyone at the table screaming their normal conversations instead of just talking normally since we’re only like 3 feet apart, I called down the table “Hey guys guess what? Snow doesn’t make you need to talk louder!” but then like half the cafeteria was leaving so the noise kinda went with it anyway haha...and soon we went home...and it started snowing^^ and I got a short time w/Corey cause we took him home and mom wanted to stop by the library and gas station and Wendy’s before we dropped him off, so the extra time w/him was nice^^ Now it’s pretty and white outside...with much more to come :-D And lumberton hopefully got a bunch so maybe Corey’ll have to stay here this weekend:-D And I’m on page 11 of this document. Maybe I should go work on my project now *giggles*
