I'M BACK! AND I'M TALKING TO COREY SO NOW I'M HAPPY! :-D :-D :-D I missed him soooooooooo much! Ahhhhh! I had fun though...and now you get to hear aaaaaaall about it!
Ok...well Friday was the rehersal dinner that I already talked about...but oh my gosh, Jack is insane...that's the four year old...He started off soooooo shy and then a few minutes later wouldn't leave me alone haha but he's adorable so it's ok. I just imported some pictures that I'll put in an entry in a minute...though it's taken me like an hour to do this much hahaha that's what I get for talking to people while I blog...anyway...That night I got about 4 hours of sleep because my dad snores REALLY LOUD lol...and then Saturday was the wedding...and the minister made me kind of mad because he started talking about how he doesn't like to discuss politics but wanted us to be sure he didn't like what was "going on in the media lately" and then immediately said how glad he was to unite a man and woman growl...Sorry, I just thought it was inappropriate timing-especially when Randal looked like he was about to collapse by the time Lindsey walked down the isle lol; I've never seen him like that...I guess he was really nervous! Anyway, aside from that bit, it was a really nice wedding...and then we went to the reception at another church near by because the one where they had the wedding was too small...Oh my gosh, a lot of you guys would love this church...when we pulled into the parking lot I was like "wooooooah!" because it was a reaaaaaaally cool looking, Gothic styled church. Yet it was Methodist. I have never ever seen a Gothic styled Methodist church but it looked awesome! Towers and really neat stain glass and everything! Lol anyway, so at the reception I hung around my family, mostly my cousin's kids...haha mostly Jack, at his insistance...He decided one of his new favorite things to do was to crawl between my legs...keep in mind I had a dress on...and so of course the photographer found this absolutely hillarious and took a picture hahaha...oh boy...It's amazing how rough the little kids can be lol...Jack decided to "shoot" me and wanted to shoot my teeth but i wouldn't open my mouth because I kinda didn't want his hands in my mouth haha...and so his reaction was to pry my lips open with his sharp fingernails...so I ended up with a cut lip lol but oh well...better me than one of his sisters; I can just see the fight that'd start...oh! I have to say what Ellen (9) taught Jack and Hannah (7) to do...She'll go "attenTION" and they have to stand up and salute her (left handed haha). It's great because the younger ones think it's a great game, while Ellen thinks it's a way to keep them from bothering her-she even makes them do pushups! But they love it!
That night we went back to my Aunt's house...the one whose son got married...and so I got more time with the little ones hehe...and I got to be the "horsie" for a while...on about four hours of sleep...but they're too adorable to resist...but finally Ronnie (their dad) and I got them to sit down and watch the Three Stooges, which, believe it or not, neither the kids or I had ever seen. Jack was in love with it instantly ("And the guy, he hit his head, and then he fell down and he burnt his bottom, and then he hit the other guy in the face and he hit the other guy in the face and he fell and hit his head!!!!") and Hannah watched...Ellen thought it was kinda stupid but since it was made in like the 50s that's understandable lol, and it was pretty bad humor...but that's ok...and Gabby didn't care since she was more concerned with the fact that she couldn't fit herself in her doll's grocery cart seat hahaha, poor kid! She kept trying to climb in but it was too high...finally Ronnie just set her in there so she could see how crammed she'd be, pulled her out, and put the doll in...So then she got the idea and zoomed her doll all over the living room...until Jack brought out the remote control car...Her eyes got sooooo big like "how is it moving!?!?!" haha...and she tried to use the remote but couldnt figure it out...She's only like...a year and a half-ish old, by the way. Anyway...we ate dinner there...and played a little longer and then the kids left with Shannon and Ronnie...and then my aunt re-taught me how to knit and so now I know what I've been doing wrong that no one can solve even though I swear I was taught a way to do it very similar to what I've been doing lately...but oh well, this works too lol. She also taught me about smocking...Imagine a paper fan, the kind that's been folded back and forth and back and forth over and over again...It's like that, except it's done using the fabric and it has tiny little folds on it...the folds are made by a machine (well, you can do them by hand but it takes forever!) and then you sew in a way that's similar to cross stitching...It looks very tedius but has a cool outcome, and she wants me to try to learn how...the problem is, you usually do it on dresses and such that you make...and I'm horrible at sewing things that complicated and I have issues with patterns lol, so every time I've ever made a dress or anything for myself, I just make a very basic one without using a pattern and just pin it around me every once in a while and see if it works haha. Anyway, I can probably do a sampler like she wants though...maybe someday I'll make a skirt out of it or something; I can make those decently...not sure how that'd work with smocking though since the bottom would have to be bigger than the top of it...that might look weird since I'm not sure that I could keep the folds going all straight down...hrm. We'll see. Anyway, somewhere around 11:30, when the game ended, Dad decided it was time for us to leave lol...so we went back to the hotel...and I fully expected Dad to wake me up by like 8 this morning...and instead, we slept until like 11! We were paranoid of setting the alarm clock because it was a REALLY weird design...and the first night it kept going off in the middle of the night and there was no button that would turn it completely off...the "off" button would make it ring again 30 minutes later! And there was a "nap" and a "sleep" and a "snooze" button haha we were so confused, and the alarm was set to like 8:30 yet it went off at 1:38AM. Go figure. Anyway, so we didn't set that and got to sleep in late this morning...and then drove home...and here I am! Yay!
