AHHH I haven't updated since last Sunday! So now I will!
School stuff:
Band: I don't like first clarinet part and I suck at it. I know how to finger the notes and I even wrote out which note is which for the high ones...and I still can't play them. I mean...not fast enough. If it's in a scale, I'm fine, but skipping around drives me nuts on high notes and I'm awful. Grrr. Heather, the first clarinet, is usually fine on those parts which helps because at least one of us hits the notes lol but I don't think having band first period is agreeing with her...though she's still a lot better than me. I want someone to come to our school and be good enough for my chair and I'll move back and play second. Good news though=Mr. Rowe says the extras will probably start in about two weeks! :-D
English: The other class got their journal's back but we haven't yet...and we turned in our first paper Friday. I'm expecting a bad grade on the journal, but he said the worst he'll give is an 85 because he wasn't there for us to ask questions or anything since it was a summer assignment. He's made comments all week about how this is the paper we're all going to die on because we're not used to having papers returned to us covered in red ink...and yet I'm...not confident...but closer to confident than thinking I'm going to fail. I just think that's going to be my best paper of the year purley because it's a personal story rather than a litteray analysis, and I'm usually quite good at those. We got assigned a "book talk" that's due Thursday/Friday...that shouldn't be too hard though, just an oral book report basically.
US History: sooooo boring but not really hard so far...I got an 88 on a quiz that I didn't study for, and a 94 on the map quiz b/c I was stupid and confused two states and I couldn't think of the word "Oregon." We have open note quizes that are ok though...especially since I take insane amounts of notes. I get the most homework from History but it's my own fault because I take way more notes than most people.
Physics: Still rules. We got to make an obsticle course for toy cars! The lab reports are super-easy and so are the math problems we've done. :-D Definitly my favorite class and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes math. *giggles* This is Zach's reaction to me telling him how much I'm enjoying it:
Zach: 0.0
Zach: jen... the anti-scientist..... her favorite class.... cool car stuff.... jen...... cars......
Zach: *brain explodes once more*
hehehe
Physical therapy: My old physical therapist is coming back! He moved to Florida for a while but I guess that didn't work out...because he's back part time now and starts again full time in October. He's great...and I really feel like he knows more than the other therapists...especially since they all go ask him questions all the time and such. So anyway, he worked with me on Thursday because the other guy had the afternoon off...and he put me on the stair stepper machine. My other therapist had said it wasn't nessisary because the bench press works the same muscle, but the old one said that the stair step machine would do more for endurance. Stair master, that's the word yeah. Sorry. So he put me on it for 4 minutes...and I thought I was going to die lol wow that sounds melodramatic. My legs were shaking all afternoon after that and throughout the next day at school...more on them in the next section.
This weekend was beach weekend! We left after school Friday and drove down to Ocean Isle...Corey, Hannah, their mom, Hannah's friend Amy, and me. Corey read and listened to music on the way down, so I talked to Hannah and Amy...I swear we were laughing the entire time lol...I have a trick for you guys to try involving pulling one arm through the other with one holding your nose...long story...so anyway...the three hour trip went decently fast...and then we got there and brought stuff up to the room...and my legs were still shaking but I didn't pay too much attention to them since I knew it was from physical therapy...but then my knee started to hurt a lot...and I think going up and down stairs a few times really agrivated it...and it started to swell. I've never had my knee do that before so it was weird. I iced it for a while and then it felt a little better but still pretty weak...That night was homework night...sortof...Corey didn't have any and the other girls and I kinda giggled half the time as we did ours...but it worked ok because I could help Hannah with Geometry and she helped Amy with Algebra. Gaaaaaah why is it already 9:45?! I g2g but I'll start from here in my next post...good night!
