Hey it's waaay to late but I need to update while I finish my 4th blueberry muffin of the day (I've randomly been really hungry today lol-4 blueberry muffins are only a tiny part of what I've eaten) so anyway...here it is!

Thursday I don't think much out of the ordinary happened except that I stayed after school until 4:30 for no reason whatsoever because I was supposed to stay for extras practice for marching band but Mr. Rowe told me at like 4:15 that I could leave. Until then, I'd litterally sat beside the field the whole time. So I got pretty agrivated about that...mostly because I had a lot of homework to do...but oh well. So then I went home, did homework, rearranged my English paper into something different very quickly, which makes me nervous lol because I litterally copied and pasted most of my conclusion paragraph into a body paragraph and changed like two words of it and then wrote a whole new conclusion. Ahh! But oh well, it may not be my greatest paper, but it's the last one of the quarter so I'll live. I didn't realize until litterally as I was walking into my parents room to say goodnight that I still had on clothes instead of pajamas, meaning I hadn't taken a shower because I'd finished homework like 5 min before, and I just decided to ignore it and then felt icky all day Friday lol but oh well. Oh and I just remembered that was picture day too so I missed part of physics but it was fun because I got to meet up with Corey and we saw some other friends too :-) Oh and at lunch we discovered a new game-Rachel decided to see who could blow a mini-marshmallow the farthest distance. She put one on the edge of her tounge and blew. At first Melissa and I wouldn't try but then we realized that we probably have more lung power than Rache and Steven from band...but...lol we discovered that we are in a total band geek habit of tounging (touching the tip of your tounge to your reid/roof of your mouth, depending on the instrument) as we start to blow...which doesn't work well with marshmallows. Melissa's went a few feet, but I made some awful sounding noise because the marshmallow got stuck or something when I accidentally tounged hahaha so it went like...6 inches. But it was fun. Then we had to burry the marshmallows *giggles*

Friday...did the rest of my physics lab during lunch because Melissa and I didn't realize one of the steps we had to do in class until the Thursday night...but it didn't really matter because most of the class didn't understand what to do anyway...and she gave us class time...and then we realized we weren't smart anyway lol because we forgot to add some stuff together...yeah. We had a half-test in history (the other half was a paper we wrote a while ago) which wasn't totally horrible, at least for a test in that class. There were some really stupid questions on there though-One talked about Thaddeous Stevens. I mean, he's very well known because he was a leader of the Radical Republicans and I knew he was a congressman. But two of the answers (it was multiple choice) to "Thaddeous Stevens was..." were "the leader of the Radical Republicans who was in the Senate" and "the leader of the Radical Republicans who was in the House of Representatives." Gaaah who cares which branch he was in?! So I know I missed that one because I said Senate and he was in the House. Oh well. I skipped the football game (marching band was only doing the pregame show and stand tunes so I wasn't required to come-there was some awards ceremony thing during halftime for sponsors for the school or something like that so they canceled the marching show) and stayed home and did my notes for history because I really really want Corey to come over Sunday afternoon...hence why I should go to bed now haha but I'm going to finish this entry first...so I took 9 2/3 pages of notes (*dies*) and talked to people online and tried to read some for English but I got tired so I went to bed.

Today was the marching competition at Clinton High School! We tried to get on a better bus but it was full so we ended up with mostly the same people...but the worst ones were in the back and we were in the front...and it was like 1000000 times better than last weekend! The marching competiton went well. One of the 4A bands dropped out and we were the first 5A band to go, but the people in charge didn't want to get ahead of schedule because some people might show up just in time to see their kids perform and miss it if they went early, so they had a long break instead. During the break, they let us go ahead and set up pit and extra equipment, so we just stood out there for a long time hehe but it was okay because it was really laid back. The show looked good^^ but I was afraid to over emphasize anything because last week I felt like I got people's hopes up...While we were heading to get food, we saw the Broughton pit so we talked to them for a while, much fun. Geeze I hadn't seen Andy and especially Kelly in FOREVER!!! I don't think I've seen Kelly since March at the movies! I felt bad though hahaha because Marc was the only one I could recognize at first-because of the uniforms and the hats mostly-and I didn't know Andy was in pit so I like jumped when I heard his voice hahaha...There was one girl who seemed really nice because she supported my neutrality idea and I don't know who she is or if I'm supposed to know who she is lol or if she was just a random nice person who talked to me because she was standing between the other people I was talking to. Anyway, then they left to perform. They played a song we played in band last year that we started singing and couldn't remember what song it was hahaha and I guess we didn't pay much attention to the titles of the songs when they were announced but oh well. They did well^^ especially their color guard and they had awesome see through flags! Good job Broughton people^^ Soon after, it was time for the awards ceremony...and despite my worrying about getting peoples hopes up, we actually did very well! Megan got 1st place drum major!!! For non band geeks, drum major=the person who conducts the band. She's so nice and she's really good so I'm glad she got an award for it :-D We were all disapointed that she didn't place last week but this definitly made up for it. This competition had different awards than the last one. There was a "horn line" one, which Melissa said meant brass and woodwinds, and we didn't place in that. There wasn't a general effect award. We didn't get any of the other awards that had to do with specific things, so we all thought we wouldn't place. However...The announcer read out the scores...3rd place in the 5A category=Scotland (which is known for being really really good)...Second place=APEX HIGH! *dances* We screamed soooo loud hahaha it ruled. It was exciting to get 2nd place, but honestly I was more relieved that everyone would be happy than I was excited about placing. I was thrilled to see everyone smiling! Cape Fear got first place in 5A and overall. We were 3rd place overall. They also had a "People's Choice Award" where the crowd got to vote if they paid for a program with a ballot in it, and that award went to Broughton. I'm guessing the scores were out of 200, because we got a 174.5. Cape Fear had a 178. If you make those into percentages (So we can compare it out of 100 because that's what I'm used to seeing lol) it'd be an 87.25 for us and an 89 for Cape Fear. So not bad at all! We were 1.75 points away from being tied for best in the competition-awesome! Oh gosh, when we got on the bus, everyone was screaaaaaaming lol, especially when Megan got on-even I screamed a bunch hahaha that's unusual. Then we left...the bus ride was loud, and people sang songs again, but it was a lot more bearable this time. I think it was the combination of not being right next to the people singing, the fact that they were only singing one song at a time for the most part, and the generally happy aura in the bus. Liz and I talked a bunch. She was my buddy tonight lol-we decided we were bathroom buddies because I swear no one else in marching band that we're friends with ever has to pee when we do. And I'm always afraid I'll get lost. So yeah hahahaha. We kept making Corey play games on Liz's cell on the bus so we could have girl talk and we'd shut up whenever he started listening-hehe poor Corey! We love you!

So now I'm home! Lol. I was going to try to get my English reading done and work on my history vocab...but you know what...its 1:32 AM...so I'm going to go to bed. I'll get up semi-early so I can get it done and still have time for Corey to come over before youth *craves some Corey time* hehe ;-) O:-)

I'm so glad marching people will be happy for at least 2 weeks (no competition next weekend)!!! *relieved sigh* Yay! hehe...and Oct 30th, it'll all be over :-D ...g'night!
