Once again blogging from Creative Writing because we were given an hour and a half to write a Christmas memory and I finished within about a half hour.
Last weekend I went to see Narnia with Elizabeth. It was really really good! I have the old version of it and I used to love it when I was little, but the effects were horrible. The beavers were just people in furry costumes with holes cut out for the human heads to poke through. In the new version, they actually look like beavers and they're normal sized. It made me happy. Maybe I should google "Turkish Delight" to find out what it is. After the movie, I slept over at Elizabeth's house. It was much fun. Her dog amuses me greatly because she's really really hyper. Sunday morning, we went to church, which was nice because I haven't been in so long. Sunday evening was the youth Christmas party. We had a white elephant gift exchange and then went to Kanki for yummy Japanese food.
Monday was my birthday...I was kinda sad because all day at school, not one of my friends remembered or said anything about it. I know I had a great party and everything and I felt like a five year old for feeling dissappointed about something so unimportant. When I got home though, Anna, Sheller, and Rachel told me happy birthday and Mahitha sent me an email to say it too. So that was nice. That night was the really good part of the day though. Brian called me and asked me to go to the Jingle Bell Ball (the Broughton dance) with him. I'm really excited. I'm obviously excited that Brian asked me to go with him, but I'm also glad just because Broughton dances are SO much better than Apex dances. At Apex, everyone either does the bump and grind or stands in the corner, and I always end up in the corner. At Broughton, we can just jump up and down and scream and run around and have fun. And they play better music than Apex, which only has rap. So I'm excited. I got my dress a few days ago. It's a cocktail style dance, so I got a knee length black cocktail dress with silver glittery designs all over it. According to Marc, I'm the unlucky one though-we're all going out to dinner at Kanki before the dance and I'm the 13th person lol. Oh well.
Tonight, Brian and I are doubling with Matt and Lauren, which should be fun. I think we're going to go out to dinner and then hang out and watch a movie at Matt's because we couldn't all agree on a movie in theaters lol. So it should be nice and casual and it will give me some time to get to know Brian better^^
Tomorrow is physics project day-my group is coming over to my house. We have a pretty cool assignment. We have to make a model from the chapter we were assigned, but it has to be entirely edible. We have to do other stuff too but that's the fun part hehe. My group and I are going to make a model of an atom built on fudge (because my physics teacher loves my fudge haha) with twizzlers to show the electron cloud layers, pocky to hold up the "electrons" (mini marshmallows) so that we can spin them around and show orbitals, and different colored jaw breakers stuck together with frosting to represent protons and neutrons. Yummy. We get to eat the model after we present it to the class on Monday.
I'm going to go google Turkish Delight haha.
