Lotsa stuff lately...

Went to Lisa's party on Saturday, which was cool. Lots of random things happened, such as when we thought a lot of boys and Kelly had run off to a strip club...yeah lol they didn't but that rumor definitly spread quickly. Oh and there was the very amusing moment when a few people started singing "Springtime with Hitler" from The Producers. We were outside and these people were on the porch of a house nearby. I couldn't see them but other people were like "look people are watching!"...and then Brian was like "I'm going to go give them a hug!" and ran off to do that...and we were all like "Omg what if they're Jewish?" because the song is talking about how lovely Germany was with Hitler, and though in the movie it's very obviously not supposed to really mean that, but out of context I can see how people would be offended. When Brian got to the yard and waved, they gave him the finger, so he decided to come back. Wow that was an interesting night, and I was sick so I was really really out of it and spacey (I was like 'weeee spacey" to this kid that was talking to me and he jumped away from me thinking I was telling him that he was invading my personal space even though he was like 5 feet from me hahaha) and couldn't follow anything that was happening so that was fun lol.

The new semester has started, so I have new classes:

German II: I'm going to die. I don't remember sooooo much of the German I stuff it's rediculous. Frau is being really nice about it though, but still. It's going to be tough. Lots of band kids though, which is nice.

AP Stat: Really easy but a lot of homework, at least last night. Almost everything we've done so far has been review (some of it really old review, like stem and leaf plots lol) but a lot of kids don't seem to remember things, haven't done them, or at least haven't done them on their calculators before, so we're moving fairly slowly. Well, slowly compared to precalc anyway, but that was with Ms. Sweeney who went insanely fast and made things confusing and hated it when we asked questions. Ms. Thomas is really nice and patient though, so I like her. And I love the fact that we get formula sheets and calculators on her tests! And she actually suggests that we use a calculator to make graphs because it's easier and then we can just copy them down and I love that lol. Andrew and Wesley will keep me highly entertained in that class.

Lunch: Better than last semester. It's earlier and that means I can eat when I'm hungry and it's not nearly as crowded, which is nice. So far I've been going on with Matt, Corey, and Liz, and today one of Matt's football friends joined us.

Tech Theater: We haven't done any actual tech work yet, but I like the class. Dave and Jill are in there, along with other nice people, and I love that it's a friendly group of people and they're all pretty outgoing since most of them are drama students too. Today, Dave randomly jumped on the stage and told us a story and everyone listened and got into it and everything. Much fun. We're mostly reading the script of the musical now to get a feel for what it's like so we can design the scenery. The construction is pretty much done because the class last semester put it together, but it hasn't been painted yet and we're not sure exactly what's going to be painted what color and such. We get to do the construction and everything else for the final play though.

Band: We have 5 clarinets! Yay! We haven't been re-chaired yet though so I dunno how that's going to work out. We were all talking a lot yesterday and I think that probably helped Mr. Rowe get into a bad mood today. We had to write essays on keeping up with music (after I stayed after school yesterday to help him collect music that had been left out grr), and I mostly wrote that the main reason that we shouldn't lose our music is because Melissa is our librarian and she has a bad temper so she'll kill us. The essays had to be 1000 words long (well they were supposed to be but no one got that far-mine ended up at 747 when the bell rang-yes he made us count the words by hand) so Liz and I listed every instrument part we could think of and that took up about a page hehe. So basically none of us took it extremely seriously-Corey's even went on about some theory that if we lose our music, aliens will blow up the Earth...yeah. That's band lol. But it ticked a lot of people off and I've heard a lot of talk about people dropping it this semester. I'm not though. I cannot imagine not having a band class. I love it too much, even if we do have punishment days occasionally.

random other stuff:

I'm not going to Wesleyan. It was a tough choice, but I've finally decided that it's just not the right place for me. I'm leaning towards UNCW but since I got in UNCG I'm going to look around the campus on Saturday before making my final decision about that. Anyone interested in rooming at either place? Or know anyone you think I'd get along with that would be interested? PLEASE let me know!

I'm starting the driving part of drivers ed on Friday (eww 2:30-7!), then finishing it up on Monday and Tuesday.

Queen of Hearts is soon^^ Feb. 4th. I'm really glad that I found out Robert (my friend from Texas) won't be here until the 5th, because I thought he was coming on the 4th, and I want to spend time with him and I promised him I would because I was really bad about it last time, and I was like "noooooo not the same day!" but he IMed me the other day to say he won't be here until the 5th so now it's all good :-)

Ok I'd better go do my Stat hw and study for German...bye!
